Sustainability

All our new homes feature our ‘standard sustainability specification’ base model found below. Various off-plan options are chosen either by the purchaser at the time of sale, or by ourselves on the merits of each development.

Engineered Sustainable Build

Save up to 90% on Energy Bills

Superior Standards of Living

Your Futureproof Home

Our exceptionally designed, energy efficient homes are accessible to all. We are among few UK housebuilders operating our own strict standards above and beyond national requirements for new builds in terms of energy efficiency and quality of living.

All our new builds are built to achieve the highest obtainable thermal ratings using sustainable materials, build methods and innovative renewable energy solutions. This standard ‘base’ specification is applied to all our homes, with off-plan options available to purchasers.

Our design & sustainability go hand in hand, hailing from North American and European influences to provide the highest energy efficiency & high-utility living spaces whilst respecting tradition and surroundings.

Low environmental impact. Low running costs. High quality of living.

Our Standard Specification Home

Up to 90% less energy used per year

We hold ourselves to higher standards as housebuilders; adopting our own ‘base model’ of energy-efficient home that forms the starting point of all our developments.

This ‘Standard Specification’ sets us apart from competitors keeping our standards high and allowing a revolving door for innovation working towards a zero-carbon future.

The Standard Specification offers low environmental impact and cost effective access to high-quality, low-energy homes using up to 90% less energy per year.

Energy Efficient Build

Passive-Haus Inspired Timber Build is our highly insulated, thermally equivalent build method using factory precision engineering. Superior quality control than traditional builds and on site assembly in a matter of days provides minimal disruption to the local area.

Thermally Encased Foundations are engineered to enforce absolute insulation at the wall and floor junctions; significantly enhancing thermal efficiency and eliminating cold bridges. This method uses 60% less concrete than conventional foundations, ultimately lowering our carbon footprint.

Triple Glazing & Exterior Claddings work with the highly-insulated timber structure to ensure a sealed, air-tight home to allow absolute minimal heat loss.

Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery

MVHR is a standard feature in all our homes. It is a reliable, low maintenance machine that is installed in the loft and ducted to both first and second floor individual rooms.

The Mechanical Ventilation aspect brings fresh air into the home and removes stagnant air through exhaust vents. This allows superior air quality throughout the home even removing allergens and moisture.

Heat Recovery takes the heat from the moist, stagnant air being exhausted from heat generating rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens, and transfers this wasted heat to the incoming fresh air. MVHR provides superior living comfort and significantly reduces heating bills.

Photovoltaic Solar Panels

PV Solar panels generate electricty from the sun to power your home and reduce your energy bills. The amount of energy generated varies on usable roof space for solar. Surplus energy can be sold back to the grid or stored in batteries.

Modern Design solar panels blend seamlessly into the roof. No longer are solar panels intrusive and an eye-sore. Various designs can be selected to enhance the curb appeal of the home and allow greater utilisation of roof space.

Upgrades to your PV solar solution can be applied off-plan to add even greater efficiency. Add a solar battery or change solar panels to an even more streamlined, higher-yielding design. Learn more here.

Radiant Under Floor Heating

Energy Efficient Wet Systems run hot water at 29 degrees Celsius on average through pipes in the floor to heat rooms for consistent warmth throughout the day. By comparison, conventional radiators require water at 65-76 degrees Celsius to heat up a room effectively. Our builds allow even lower heat to be used, and lower heat provides lower energy bills.

Zero Cold Spots or ‘stuffiness’ compared with conventional radiators. Our radiant floor systems provide total floor surface coverage rather than heating a small patch of air at a time like a radiator does. This consistent heating system running alongside MVHR delivers an unparalleled level of comfort.

Safe and Low Maintenance wet systems are completely integrated with the build of the house, meaning no sharp edges or hot surfaces. Maintenance is minimal, and the system can be paired with options such as Air Source Pumps and Ground Source Arrays to provide even greater energy efficiency and savings on bills.

Electric Vehicle Charging

EV Chargers are soon to be the only source of ‘refueling’ a car with the government’s ban on petrol and diesel car sales from 2035. We futureproof all our homes by installing EV Chargers as standard.

Smart innovations in EV Charger technology allows us to install EV chargers wherever parking is provided in relation to the home without worry. If parking is a dedicated or shared bay, then a freestanding EV Charger will only allow access to the owner or authorised users to ensure no billing exploitation.

Upgradeable options per home are available depending on anticipated usage of electric vehicles, or as they become more mainstream. Enhanced solar panels, or a solar battery allow even greater energy efficiency and savings.

Off Plan / Retrofit Upgrade Options

Air Source Pump

from £6500

Replace your gas boiler with an Air Source Pump to supply your home with heating and hot water off grid. Works in all seasons and temperatures.

Solar Battery

from £4250

Store electricity generated from your solar panel system and choose how and when to store/use it to maximise energy efficiency based on consumption.
